Mango Daiquiri Weekend

Hey Cravers!

 

Today, July 10th, is Bahamian Independence Day! Happy Independence Bahamas!!! So Friday, I thought I’d start the weekend off relaxing and the perfect way to do that was with homemade Mango Daiquiris!

Every summer, which in the Bahamas is the season for mangos, my dad would make Mango Daiquiris for all of us to enjoy on the porch after work.

Since this weekend is a holiday weekend I took some time to relax. I took time to notice things in my yard; the beautiful bougainvillea, two hummingbirds, the sun setting, and the cool breeze. It was a wonderful way to wind down my Saturday.

Sunday I had mangos delivered to me, so another daiquiri day it was! It really is a great recipe. The rum isn’t too strong, which I like, but if you want more, then add more! That’s what’s good about recipes you have the basic ingredients, but you can make it yours! Figure out how much rum you like, if you like it a little icier, or if you like it thinner then add more pineapple juice. Make sure and write down your changes so you don’t forget when you get it perfect for you!

Today, Monday, more mangos were delivered and more daiquiris it is! Total day of relaxation!
