While staying in Canada I cooked and baked to take my mind off everything that was going on. I needed to be in the kitchen. Canada is cold in the fall, well cold to me, so soup was definitely on the menu.
My grandfather loves soup, but always wants something with meat. So I adapted a mushroom soup to include ground beef. It was delicious. He raved about it so much and wanted me to make it when he came to visit. This time I wrote down the recipe so I could share it with you! If you love mushrooms you will love this soup.
Unfortunately I didn’t get pictures of each process, but don’t worry, the end result is so worth it!
The soup is quite easy to make. The most tedious part of making the soup is chopping the onions and mushrooms.
Served with a delicious, crusty, French bread that you can pick up and throw in the oven for a few minutes just before time to serve.
This soup has become a favorite of my family, and I hope it will become a favorite in your home too.
